Marine Travel Lift Gantry Crane

The Yacht Handling Crane, also known as a Travel Lift Crane, is a mobile lifting equipment specifically designed for the hoisting, transporting, maintenance, and launching of yachts, sailboats, and other vessels. This equipment is driven by a fully hydraulic or hybrid power system, featuring multi-point synchronous lifting and flexible steering control. It enables safe and highly efficient completion of various marine operations without causing any damage to the hull's surface.

1. The entire machine mainly consists of a "U"-shaped or "N"-shaped main gantry frame structure, a lifting system, a traveling and steering system, and an electrical/hydraulic control system.

2. Main Gantry Frame Structure: It adopts a "U"-shaped or "N"-shaped steel structure design. This unique open-frame structure enables the crane to straddle and handle yachts or vessels that exceed the crane's own height.

3. Lifting System: It is equipped with a multi-point synchronous lifting device (e.g., 4-point/32-point lifting). High-strength flexible nylon lifting slings are used instead of traditional wire ropes to ensure that the yacht's surface paint is not scratched during the hoisting process.

4. Traveling and Steering System: Supported by heavy-duty engineering rubber tires, it supports various flexible steering modes, including 360° pivot steering, Ackermann steering, and 90° right-angle steering, adapting perfectly to narrow docks or storage yard environments.

Product Application

1. Yacht Clubs and Water Sports Centers: Used for the daily parking, launching, and retrieval of yachts, supporting fast and high-density vessel arrangement management.

2. Vessel Maintenance and Servicing Bases: Smoothly lifts yachts out of the water and transports them to onshore maintenance workshops or dry docks for hull cleaning, painting, and mechanical maintenance.

3. Large Ports and Shipyards: Serves as auxiliary handling equipment for the launching of small and medium-sized vessels and newly built yachts, or for cross-area vessel transfers.

Product Operation Guide

1. Pre-operation Inspection: Confirm that the travel route and yard surface are flat and free of obstacles. Inspect the lifting slings for any damage, and ensure that the hydraulic system and tire pressure are in normal condition.

2. Smooth Lifting: Before hoisting, arrange the lifting points reasonably according to the hull structure to ensure synchronous load distribution across multiple points. Maintain a constant speed during hoisting and traveling, avoiding sudden stops and starts.

3. Windproofing and Anti-skidding: When traveling on complex road surfaces, utilize the equipment's internal force release technology to prevent gantry frame distortion. When parking, arrange the tires in a 0° or 90° cross configuration, lock the steering, and deploy anti-skid wedges.

4. Daily Maintenance: Focus on inspecting the wear condition of the flexible lifting slings, checking for any leakage in the hydraulic pipelines, assessing the lubrication status of all steering hinge points, and verifying the waterproof and moisture-proof performance of the electrical control system.

FAQ

Q1. The yacht handling crane deviates from its path or experiences steering difficulties during travel. What is the cause?

Answer: This is usually caused by inconsistent tire pressure, insufficient pressure in the steering hydraulic system, or uneven road surfaces. It is recommended to stop the machine immediately and check and adjust the tire pressure of all tires to the standard values. If the problem persists, inspect the hydraulic steering pump and valves for blockages, and improve the site's road conditions.

Q2. Uneven hull stress or tilting occurs during the hoisting process. How should it be handled?

Answer: This may be caused by an unreasonable arrangement of lifting points or deviations in the synchronous control system. Hoisting should be paused immediately, and the vessel should be lowered slowly. Re-verify the hull's load-bearing points, adjust the spacing of the lifting slings, and check whether the sensor feedback of the PLC synchronous control system is normal. Resume hoisting only after confirming that everything is correct.

Q3. How should the yacht handling crane be protected against the wind in severe weather?

Answer: The windproof parking procedure must be strictly followed. After stopping operations, move the equipment to the designated safe parking position, unload all loads, and raise the lifting gear to the highest safe position. Arrange the tires in a 0° or 90° cross configuration, lock the steering device, ensure the traveling brakes are engaged, and place anti-skid wedges firmly in front of and behind the tires. If necessary, tighten the windproof guy ropes.

Q4. Which parts require special attention during daily maintenance?

Answer: Key focus areas include the wear and aging of the flexible lifting slings, the sealing and oil level of the hydraulic system, and the wear and tire pressure. Additionally, the sensitivity of the multi-point synchronous detection sensors and the lubrication condition of all mechanical hinge points and bearings must be checked regularly to ensure the safe operation of the equipment in highly corrosive marine environments.
