Electric Single-Girder Gantry Crane

1. Lightweight Modular Structure:

The single-girder portal frame adopts a lightweight box-section main girder, with supporting legs connected via bolted joints to guarantee outstanding overall structural rigidity. The split assembly design greatly simplifies transportation and field erection; complicated on-site welding work is eliminated entirely. The crane can be flexibly arranged to suit diverse outdoor sites and factory gateways.

2. Smooth & Precise Operation:

The crane travelling mechanism is driven by integrated three-in-one gear reducers. Optional variable frequency drive (VFD) speed regulation enables shock-free soft start and braking. Matched with CD/MD wire rope electric hoists, the unit runs with low noise. It retains exceptional structural stability under strong outdoor wind conditions and achieves precise load positioning during lifting operations.

3. Comprehensive Safety Protection:

A full suite of safety devices is pre-installed as standard: load moment limiter, upper & lower lifting height limit switches, crane travel end stops, emergency stop pushbuttons, and undervoltage protection devices. This integrated safety system fully conforms to statutory crane safety specifications and efficiently avoids all common lifting safety risks.

4. Outdoor-Specific Durability:

The whole machine undergoes integrated waterproof, dustproof and anti-corrosion rust-proof treatment. Core electrical components are outdoor-grade, engineered to withstand extreme high and low temperatures. Product Operation Guide

All three motion systems of the crane — hoisting, gantry travelling and trolley travelling — can be controlled via pendant push-button station, wireless remote controller or operator cabin. Operators can perform start, stop, direction reversal and speed regulation functions through any of the three control modes.

The control panel is fitted with a power indicator lamp, emergency stop pushbutton, start button and key-operated main switch.

Prior to commissioning, inspect the rails and surrounding working areas thoroughly to confirm no obstacles are present. The crane shall always be operated strictly in accordance with official safety operating procedures.

FAQ

1. Fault: The motor fails to start and generates loud abnormal noises after the operation button is pressed.

Root Cause:

1.Mains supply voltage is too low;

2.Outdoor power circuit suffers phase loss caused by rainwater intrusion and dampness;

3.Poor contact exists within the control circuit.

Troubleshooting Solution:

Adjust the input supply voltage to the rated range; inspect and rectify phase loss faults on the rainproof outdoor wiring; overhaul all contacts of the control circuit to guarantee stable and unobstructed electrical conduction.

2. Fault: Gantry travelling operates normally, while the trolley travelling and hoisting mechanisms fail to respond completely.

Root Cause:

1.Poor contact between the trolley current collector and sliding contact wire;

2.Wiring leads of the current collector are fractured or disconnected as a result of long-term outdoor vibration.

Troubleshooting Solution:

Adjust the mounting position of the sliding wire to ensure close contact and reliable electrical conduction. Reconnect and firmly fasten all broken cables, then implement waterproof and insulated protection treatment for the wiring.

3. Fault:The gantry travelling mechanism can only run in a single direction; no movement occurs when switching to reverse travel.

Root Cause:

1.Open-circuited contacts inside the reverse direction control assembly;

2.Malfunction or damage of the track end travel limit switch;

3.Breakage of the main power cable.

Troubleshooting Solution:

Repair the faulty contacts to restore intact electrical connectivity; replace the defective limit switch; perform sectional inspection on the main circuit cable to pinpoint the fault point and eliminate the failure.

4. Fault: The hoisting mechanism slides downwards spontaneously owing to braking malfunction.

Root Cause:

1.Excessive abrasion of the brake drum;

2.Loosening and insufficient pre-tension of the brake spring;

3.Burn-out or malfunction of the motor brake coil.

Troubleshooting Solution:

Replace the severely worn brake drum; calibrate and adjust the preload tension of the brake spring; overhaul or renew the brake coil to guarantee reliable braking performance and lifting safety.
