ASX New Type Suspended Electric Hoist

The ASX Suspended Electric Hoist (hereinafter referred to as the hoist) is designed for mounting on overhead straight or curved I-beam tracks, or fixed onto structural steel frames to lift all types of heavy workpieces.
It is universally paired with electric single-girder overhead cranes, electric double-girder overhead cranes and gantry cranes equipped with hoists.
Extensively applied in factories, mining sites, railways, ports, warehouses and service sectors, this multi-purpose hoisting machinery can adapt to diverse working conditions. Its working duty class ranges from M3 to M5 as standard.

1. The electric hoist is composed of multiple parts: motor, reducer, drum assembly, flexible coupling, rope guide, hook block, electric travelling trolley, driving mechanism and electrical control system. Each component is structurally independent, facilitating easy maintenance and adjustment.

2. The output torque of the main motor is transferred to the reducer through an elastic coupling. The coupling buffers impact loads and enables smooth startup.

3. Dual-speed motors or variable frequency brake motors are optional configurations to satisfy customized demands from customers.

4. A hardened tooth planetary reducer is adopted. It delivers high transmission precision, large output torque and extended service lifespan.

5. The hook stays centered constantly without any offset during load lifting and lowering strokes.

Product Application

1. Light Industry & General Manufacturing:

Applied for lifting small workpieces and mechanical equipment installation inside warehouses, storage yards, production sites and light manufacturing workshops.

2. Civil & Household Usage Scenarios:

Ideal for routine heavy-duty handling and cargo loading/unloading work in residential spaces, garages and private workshops.

3. Crane Supporting Lifting Applications

It serves as the core hoisting unit matched with various overhead cranes to complete cargo lifting and transportation tasks.

Product Operation Guide

1. Standard Operating Specifications:

Overloading is strictly prohibited, and personnel are forbidden to stand under suspended loads at all times. Prior to hoisting, the hoist shall be positioned vertically above the load; diagonal hoisting and diagonal pulling are not permitted under any circumstances.

2. Daily Pre-operation Inspection:

Check the reliability of the brake system before each use, and examine the steel wire rope for broken strands and excessive abrasion. Verify the flexible action of all limit devices. It is forbidden to repeatedly utilize limit switches as regular travel stop switches.

3. Periodic Maintenance:

Maintain sufficient clean lubricant stock and apply lubrication to the wire rope on a regular basis. Manual oil application to a moving wire rope is strictly banned. Cut off the main power supply upon completion of work; never leave heavy loads suspended aloft for a long time.

4. Handling Abnormal Faults:

Cut off the main power supply immediately once any malfunction occurs. All inspection and maintenance work shall only be carried out under no-load condition. Excessive jogging operation and simultaneous pressing of two opposite-direction buttons are strictly prohibited.

FAQ

Q1: Why does the electric hoist stop abruptly mid-hoist or refuse to start up?

Answer:  This issue generally occurs owing to tripped limit protection or motor thermal overload protection. First check if the lifting sling has contacted the limit striker arm; adjust the limit position if contact happens. If the unit shuts down automatically after long continuous running, the motor has triggered overheat protection. Allow the motor to fully cool down before resuming operation.

Q2: What countermeasures should be taken if abnormal vibration and irregular noise occur during operation?

Answer: Such anomalies are mainly attributed to internal gear abrasion, damaged bearings or insufficient wire rope lubrication. Cut off the power supply right away to inspect the lubrication status of all transmission parts and top up lubricant as needed. In case of damaged internal mechanical components, arrange professional technicians to conduct disassembly and maintenance. Running the hoist with existing faults is strictly forbidden.

Q3: How to address violent shaking or load slipping when lifting heavy loads?

Answer: Excessive shaking is mainly brought on by diagonal hoisting and pulling. Always align the hoist vertically right above the load prior to lifting. Load slipping usually results from brake lining wear or excessive brake sliding stroke. Cease all operations immediately, inspect the wear level of the brake ring and adjust the preload compression of the brake spring to bring the brake sliding stroke within safe specified limits.

Q4: On which criteria shall the steel wire rope be scrapped and renewed?

Answer: The wire rope must be taken out of service if it suffers severe abrasion, broken strands exceeding the allowable limit, kinks, permanent deformation or heavy corrosion/rust. Inspection and scrapping shall be implemented strictly in compliance with the Code for Inspection and Scrapping of Steel Wire Ropes for Cranes, so that timely replacement can be arranged to avoid load falling accidents.

Q5: How to verify the equipment’s electrical insulation safety prior to commissioning?

Answer: Before installation and startup, use a 500V megohmmeter to measure the insulation resistance of the motor and control cabinet. The cold insulation resistance under ambient temperature must be higher than 5MΩ for safe use. In addition, verify that the input power voltage matches the rated voltage marked on the equipment nameplate, so as to prevent motor burnout caused by fluctuating and unstable voltage.
